SICK is a survival horror game that takes place on an abandoned island full of nature and buildings to explore. The player takes on the role of a faceless protagonist from a first-person perspective and must explore the island to figure out what happened and how to get off of the island.

In terms of theme and style, the survival element coupled with rather high-quality graphics makes this game quite comparable to Green Hell. However, SICK features the ability to turn off the horror elements of the game, providing an experience more akin to The Long Dark.

An atmospheric horror experience

In SICK, the player takes on the role of a protagonist who has found themselves stranded on an abandoned island after an accident. They must explore the island — its nature and long-deserted buildings — to figure out what happened and how they can get off the island again. There are dangers everywhere, all wrapped in a tense and eerie atmosphere.

In order to survive, the player must explore the island and solve puzzles. There are many abandoned buildings, including houses and a church, and plenty of areas of unkempt nature. The game also features the ability to turn off the horror element for players who do not enjoy that sort of thing, making it a straightforward survival exploration game.

A well-crafted experience with some performance issues

For players who enjoy atmospheric experiences, SICK should be an interesting prospect. The ability to turn off the horror element of the game should widen the appeal also. However, it should be noted that some players have reported performance issues.
